To every new mother, young mother, mother of a teenager, empty-nest mother, adopted mother, godmother, stepmother, or grandmother, I wish for you a day filled with love and great happiness.

To every mother of a child in heaven or child of a mother in heaven, I wish you grace, too, and that you’d realize with your heart and mind that those “Happy Mother’s Day,” wishes were intended for joy, not grief. And the same for every woman who wanted a child but never had one. Your empty arms ache one day a year, this day. I know. Please remember, we never know the plans that God has for us, but He does know and He loves you more than you’ll ever know.

As it says in Psalms,

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

You are His precious child.

Hugs, y’all!
